Jessica's Swim Meet

I like going to Columbus on the weekends and doing things with the kids. I know Jamie doesn't get to see them nearly as much as he'd like to.....but between his work schedule, my weekend weddings, and the kids weekend activities (church, sports, parties, etc...), all of us having time on the weekend to do something together really doesn't happen that often. But yesterday we did!

Jamie and I drove down to Columbus for Jessica's swim meet. We picked up Josh first, had lunch at BD's Mongolian Grill and did some shopping at Easton (I got a new vampire book to read, can't wait!), and then went to New Albany High School for the swim meet. Jessica's team took 2nd place, and her times were an improvement, so everyone was happy. After the meet we all went to dinner at Casa Fiesta for some Mexican food!

Project Chef

If you haven't seen it yet, take a look at our 2010 cooking blog!

Project Chef

Jamie and I decided on New Year's Eve to challenge ourselves a bit this year. We're going to cook a different meal every day, meaning we won't cook the same recipe twice. We eat a lot of fast food lately, and home cooked meals are so much better (taste-wise, AND health-wise). I took down our health stats so we can check every-so-often to see how our change has benefited us. In the meantime we're going to share the recipes, stories and photos with you on the blog. It's been an interesting week so far! Today is Day 5....and in our first 5 days, we cooked 12 different dishes!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Here's to 2010 being the best year YET! We had a couple friends over last night to celebrate the new year. A couple glasses of wine and a glass of champagne after cooking all day put me out early! I was snoozing by 11:15, so I missed the big year flip....but I'm sure it was grand.
